集中治療室での人工呼吸器と吸引
最も重症なCOVID-19患者は、最初の24時間の集中治療で人工呼吸器を必要とします。複数の患者管理プロセスをカバーするために、すべての治療スペースに吸引源と吸引圧レギュレーターを設置することが推奨されます。2
気道開存性が命を救う
- 気道吸引は救命措置です。肺感染症、低酸素症の長期化、分泌物貯留のリスクを低減します。
- すべての人工呼吸器装着患者にとって気管内吸引は分泌物除去のために必要です。
- 人工気道を設けている患者には定期吸引が必要です。3
携帯型吸引器によるウイルス拡散防止
フィルター及び付属品付きの電動吸引ポンプは、病院及びケアセンター内でのウイルス拡散を防止し、重度急性呼吸器感染症治療センター向けWHO冊子にも必要機器として記載されています。これはNHS（英国民保健サービス）の指導に則しています。4
